“Recent samples suggest an equitable number of people are in consensually nonmonogamous relationships as there are in same-sex relationships (Conley et al., 2013). Despite a pervasive societal stigma, therapists rarely receive education and training on polyamory issues (Moors & Schechinger, 2014; Weitzman, Davidson, & Phillips, 2012), and many mental health providers have been found to hold stigmatized attitudes and use harmful clinical practices (Schechinger, Sakaluk, & Moors, in progress).”

A course created by therapists for therapists.

Whether we believe in the concept of a counsellor being an “expert” or not, our clients see us as knowledgeable and the way in which we demonstrate understanding of their experience can have a massive impact on their personal shame. Cherish and Cora teach from an experienced, on the ground perspective as they help you flow from theory to practice.

What our students are saying.

“This course was professional, thorough, and expertly put together. The material was clear, and the concepts were in depth and thought-provoking without being overwhelming. There was a perfect mix of research driven content and crafted guided introspection, allowing the student practitioner space to grow and learn. Given the often overlooked prevalence of ethical non-monogamous relationships in our society, this course is invaluable in serving our clients from an informed and inclusive perspective.” - J.C
